About

Art has always brought out the energetic Bermudian in me. My outlook on life is one of adventure, each stage bringing humour, a deepening spirituality, some sadness and a richness that all your senses brings into daily living. I am attracted to light and colour and I find it everywhere.
I work with a large range of media, from soft pastels, water colour to oil and wax. I work with wax in a variety of ways, such as encaustic (by heating) or cold wax. This has lead me to experimenting using a variety of media, such as oil and wax or pastel and wax. Working in this way, entails me in just feeling my way and spending time looking at shapes to see what form they may take.

My art comes from the heart, my observations of nature, surroundings, childhood memories and people. I find that using this particular mix of media ideal for expressing feelings, mood and as a Reiki master, have used some of my works for distance healing. How does this work? I don’t know, however, I believe that positive thoughts have positive reactions. This positivity is an important part to our psyche and I believe to our mental and physical health.

Some of my art has been shown in my local area, exhibited abroad and featured on an online magazine.

My hope or aim if you like is to inspire others, give encouragement through my pieces of work and perhaps a pause for thought.
